What an incredible few days at the Melbourne Royal Show 2025.

We are truly grateful to the Melbourne Royal for featuring the Valais Blacknose Sheep as this year’s Feature Breed. These gentle, striking sheep captured so many hearts, and it was amazing to see families coming in to meet them up close.

A special thank you also goes to David Hodge, who travelled from the UK to judge. David is a highly respected Valais Blacknose judge, and his knowledge, insightful commentary, and passion for the breed were deeply appreciated.

This year’s Melbourne Royal marked the largest gathering of Valais Blacknose Sheep in Australia to date – a milestone we are proud to have been part of. Thank you to all the breeders who came together to make the event such a success.

A Community Brought Together by Sheep

The Melbourne Royal wasn’t just about ribbons and results – it was about connection. Catching up with other Valais breeders and enthusiasts reminded us why this breed is so special. These sheep have the most relaxed, lovable personalities, and they truly have a way of bringing people together.

From the bottom of our hearts – thank you to everyone who shared in this unforgettable experience.
